Photography Policies
We encourage visitors to capture their visit and share on social media with #WhereHistoryComesAlive. For the safety and consideration of all our guests, we have established the following guidelines. We appreciate your cooperation.
General Visitors
- Photography is permitted for personal, noncommercial use only with small handheld cameras/devices.
- Flash photography is not permitted.
- Tripods, monopods, Gimbals, and other camera extensions such as selfie sticks are not permitted.
- Exhibits, artifacts, signage or other museum property may not be rearranged for any purpose. Please do not cross designated barriers in museum exhibits/displays..
- The safety of museum visitors is of the utmost importance so climbing, entering or touching of vehicles will not be allowed.
- Photos may be used on personal social media pages, blogs or any other personal media
- Images may not be sold, loaned, leased or used for any commercial or promotional purpose.
Graduation/Portrait Photography
- All portrait photography, such as engagement pictures, family pictures, and graduation pictures, must be by appointment.
- All involved parties (student, parents, photographer, etc.) will be charged general admission.
- During photoshoots, there will be no climbing, entering, or touching vehicles.
- Exhibits, artifacts, signage or other museum property may not be rearranged for any purpose. Please do not cross designated barriers in museum exhibits/displays..
- Backdrops or other props are not to be hung anywhere in the museum.
A Note to our visitors
The Museum of the American G.I. may photograph or videotape visitors for educational and promotional purposes. By visiting the museum or attending an event on the grounds, you authorize the museum to use your appearance, name, and/or likeness
Drone Policy
Drones are not allowed on museum property to film outdoor exhibits or events without the express permission of the museum director.
