When is the museum open?

The Museum of the American G.I. is open Wednesday – Saturday from 10 am – 5 pm. We recommend that guests arrive no later than 4 pm, so you have a minimum of 1 hour to enjoy the facility. Any changes to our regular operating schedule are posted on our “Plan Your Visit” page.

How much does it cost to visit the Museum of the American G.I.?

Admission is $14.00 for Adults, $12 for Veterans & Seniors (65-79), $10 for College Students with IDs, $6.00 for children 5-17 years, FREE for ages 80 + and 4 & under.

Is there a Group Rate?

Yes.  Discounted rates are available for groups of 15 or more.  Pre-registration is required to receive the discounted rate.

Do you offer a Military Discount?

Yes.  Active military and veterans are $12.  We are a Blue Star Musuem.  So from Armed Forces Day to Labor Day,  active military and their immediate family receive free admission

How long does it take to go through the Museum of the American G.I. ?

Allow yourself a minimum of at least one and a half hours.

Can I take photographs?

Yes. We love for our guests to take photographs!  If you are a professional photographer looking to utilize our venue, please review our Photo Policy.

Can I bring my dog/cat with me when visiting?

Service dogs and well-behaved dogs in a backpack/ dog stroller or on a leash are welcome.  When possible, please let the admission desk know that you will be entering with a dog so that our museum corgi will be prepared.

Does the museum offer wheelchairs?

Yes, the museum has one manual wheelchair available for guest use. It is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Do you allow electric wheelchair/scooters in the Museum?

Yes, we do allow guests the ability to use their electric wheelchair/scooter when visiting the museum.

Do we have a restaurant or café and if not what are the nearest “nice” places to eat?
The museum does not have a vending area however there are many restaurants nearby where you can enjoy a full meal before or after your visit. Visit College Station website Visit Visit Destination Bryan
Can I host a private event or corporate meeting at the museum?

Yes. The museum has the ability to host an array of special events and corporate meetings. See our  “Host your Event” page for more information.

Do you have parking for large vehicles, such as tour buses, RVs, motorhomes while we visit?

Yes. The museum’s parking area can accommodate large vehicles during non special event weekends such as the Living History Weekend or History in Motion.

Can I tour the museum building during the Living History Weekend or History in Motion?

Unfortunately no, the main museum building is closed during these events.
