Hands-on History: Remembering D-Day 2026

Join the Museum of the American G.I. on June 6 & 7 as we honor the men who stormed the beaches of Normandy on D-Day. Discover the gear, weapons, and stories of the Allied invasion through engaging displays and hands-on activities for all ages.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to experience one of the defining firearms of World War II — the U.S. M1 Garand rifle, famously carried by American troops across Europe.
M1 Garand Blank Fire Experience
Visitors ages 8+ may fire one clip on the artillery range for a $20 cash donation. Donations help preserve and operate the museum’s historic collection.
