A Community Celebration of America’s Story

Join us at the Celebrate America Heritage Festival, a free public event commemorating 250 years of American heritage through interactive history, hands-on activities, live music, and community participation.

Hosted by the Museum of the American G.I., this festival-style event invites visitors of all ages to explore the people, stories, and innovations that have shaped our nation.

Experience the Festival

America’s story is more than dates and documents—it is the story of people, perseverance, and possibility.

The festival will feature:

  • Interactive interpretive stations hosted by museums and community partners
  • Hands-on activities and demonstrations exploring America’s past
  • Nonprofit organizations and artisans sharing heritage-inspired crafts and traditions
  • Live music throughout the day, creating a lively festival atmosphere

From early settlements and innovation to service, culture, and community life, these experiences bring history to life for visitors of all ages.

Guests are encouraged to explore, participate, and celebrate the shared history that connects us all at this free, public celebration on June 13, 2026.

Participate in the Festival

Community organizations, museums, and artisans are invited to help bring America’s story to life by hosting activities and demonstrations during the festival.

The event is organized around era-based interpretive stations, where participating groups highlight a specific period, place, role, or theme connected to America’s heritage.
