DISCOVER! Our experts will guide you as you explore all of the crew positions in US WWII light and medium tanks and tank destroyers.

RIDE! You will experience what it was like to operate these tanks in WWII! Before the day is over, you will have ridden in both a light and a medium tank as well as a tank destroyer!

SHOOT! You will be up close and personal as the tank’s main gun fires, and you will experience the thrill of firing a machine gun.

ENJOY! The WWII Tank Experience includes lunch and refreshments. Pictures and videos from your Experience will be posted online for you to download, and each participant will receive a WWII Tank Experience T-Shirt.

M4A1 Sherman and M4A3 Sherman Medium Tanks
M18 Tank Destroyer

You will spend 1 hour exploring and riding in each type for a total of 3 hours in WWII tanks!
You will be in one tank as the main gun fires!

Session 1: 9am– 2pm (9 to 18 participants)
Session 2: noon – 5pm (9 to 18) participants)
Price: $750 per participant (+ $5 processing fee)
Must be pre-booked.

***Health & Safety Regulations: Participants must be at least 14 years of age, a minimum height of 52 inches, and be fit and able to climb on and off the vehicles unaided. Must be able to enter and exit the hatch of the vehicle easily and must have no underlying health condition that would preclude riding in “off-road” conditions. All participants must sign a hold-harmless agreement. The Museum of the American G.I. and its crew reserve the right to refuse any participant (tank ride or half-track ride) who they deem unfit or unsafe to themselves, other participants, or the crew.

THE WWII TANK EXPERIENCE REQUIRES A MINIMUM OF 9 PARTICIPANTS WITH A MAXIMUM OF 36

The first 18 participants will automatically be enrolled in Session 1.  Session 2 will begin automatic enrollment once Session 1 is full.  Session 2 will only be held if there are 9 participants enrolled in that session or a total of 27 participants (18 in Session 1 and 9 in Session 2).   In case a session does not make, participants assigned that session will be refunded the registration fee minus the CC processing fee.

PARTICIPANTS‘ FAMILIES ARE WELCOME TO ATTEND AS SPECTATORS (ONLY IN DESIGNATED LOCATIONS) FOR THE COST OF REGULAR ADMISSION. SADLY, WE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ACCOMMODATE THEM IN ANY OF THE ACTIVITIES NOR PROVIDE ANY AMENITIES INCLUDED IN THE WWII EXPERIENCE PACKAGE.

Please note that to ensure the safety of all participants and spectators (family only), the museum will be closed to the general public on this day.

All proceeds from this event will go towards installing High-Speed Internet in the museum building.
