SUMMARY:Battle of the Bulge
DESCRIPTION:Join us as we commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge\, one of World War II’s most significant events. Starting December 20\, the museum will present an exhibit that tells the story of the resilience\, strategy\, and sacrifice that defined the winter of 1944-1945. \nThe exhibit highlights key moments that defined the battle\, from the 101st Airborne Division’s defense of Bastogne to the 740th “Daredevils ” and General Patton’s Third Army’s decisive advance. Stories of tragedy and heroism\, such as the poignant remembrance of the Wereth 11 massacre\, underscore the human cost of the battle. \nDiscover how the Battle of the Bulge influenced the course of World War II and left a lasting impact on the fight for freedom. \n“This is undoubtedly the greatest American battle of the war and will\, I believe\, be regarded as an ever-famous American victory.” ~ British Prime Minister Sir Winston Churchill \nWe invite you to a special exhibit of “Commemorating Courage\, Celebrating Peace: 80 Years After WWII.“  We will explore the resilience\, courage\, and sacrifice that characterized World War II’s global struggle for freedom. These ongoing exhibits commemorate the 80th anniversary of the war’s conclusion\, gradually revealing new stories\, artifacts\, and perspectives commemorating the 80th anniversary of World War II’s. Each phase will explore pivotal battles\, VE and VJ Day celebrations\, and the enduring impact of the war. \nComing in February – Remembering Iwo Jima\nComing in April – The Battle of Okinawa\nComing in May – VE Day\nComing in September – VJ Day \nAs we reflect on the past\, these exhibits remind us of the enduring lessons of WWII and celebrate the peace that so many fought to achieve. Whether you’re a history buff\, a student\, or someone looking to honor the memories of a generation that sacrificed so much\, this experience offers a rare and meaningful journey through time.

SUMMARY:They Came In Peace
DESCRIPTION:In 1983\, the world bore witness to two unfathomable tragedies—the bombing of the US Embassy in Beirut and the 1983 Beirut barracks bombing that shook the city\, the Marine Corps\, the United States\, and the entire world. It claimed the lives of 241 American service members\, including 220 Marines\, 18 Navy medical personnel\, three soldiers\, and 58 French Paratroopers.\n\nFor the Marines\, October 23\, 1983\, was the highest loss of life in a single day since D-Day on Iwo Jima in 1945. \n“They Came In Peace” pays homage to the dedication and courage of those who served and sacrificed for our nation in 1983. It’s a powerful tribute to the indomitable spirit of our military. \nDiscover photographs and personal accounts that bring this moment in history to life. Don’t miss this incredible journey through a chapter that forever altered the course of history and international relations. \nWe invite you to visit in October to remember and reflect on an important event whose aftermath still impacts our international diplomacy and security.   The 1983 events in Lebanon are a stark reminder of the complexities of peacekeeping\, security\, diplomacy\, and the urgency of confronting terrorism. Join us as we honor and remember the brave men and women who have served our great nation during this international turmoil.

SUMMARY:Sounds of Triumph & Turmoil - The Music Of War
DESCRIPTION:Music is a powerful lens through which we can understand the cultural impact of war on a society. Songs can rally the troops\, celebrate the importance of patriotism\, reflect the melding of love and loss\, or become an anthem of dissent. Music serves as a historical document that captures the emotions\, attitudes\, and perspectives of a society during wartime. It communicates ideas and sentiments widely and has the power to unify\, inspire\, and provoke change. \nFrom the trenches of World War I to the battlefields of the 21st century\, we explore the evolution of musical expression in the face of war. We pay tribute to the resilience of the human spirit and the power of music. Join us this summer as we explore the Music of war — the Sounds of Triumph and Turmoil.

At the centre of this project stands the band’s new animated film\, “The War To End All Wars – The Movie”\, which is to be screened by participating museums spanning the globe around Armistice Day on November 11\, 2023. \n“History Rocks” is a charity initiative that aims to raise awareness on the importance of history and encourage more people to visit their local museums. Sabaton is inviting museums both big and small to be part of this world premiere of “The War To End All Wars – The Movie”. \nCommenting on the project was Sabaton’s manager and bass player\, Pär Sundström: “We are excited to launch this project! We believe that by screening “The War To End All Wars – The Movie” in museums around the world\, we can inspire people to appreciate the importance of preserving and learning about our history. And what better way is there to do this than by infusing history education with an entertaining\, adrenaline-fuelled animated movie?” \nPär added: “It’s also a fantastic way to persuade a brand new audience to visit their local museums. Museums are really important to us as a band\, especially military and history-focused museums – we have learned so much from them. We want the world to be curious and would love for people to genuinely want to learn about the past. The only way we grow as human beings is by learning about days gone by and appreciating the sacrifices that have been made for us to live the way we do.” \nDeveloped in partnership with Yarnhub Animation Studios\, “The War To End All Wars – The Movie” features songs from Sabaton’s 10th studio album\, “The War To End All Wars”\, which was released on March 4\, 2022.
