SUMMARY:BV Gives 2026
DESCRIPTION:Help Us Preserve Their Stories. Help Us Make History Come Alive.\nEvery artifact at the Museum of the American G.I. has a story—a story of an American who served. \nThis year during Brazos Valley Gives\, help us preserve those stories\, honor our veterans\, and educate the next generation. \nYour gift helps us: \n\nHonor veterans by preserving and sharing their stories.\nSoar to new heights by helping restore and install our historic C-53 Skytrooper for permanent display.\nInspire the next generation through school visits\, hands-on activities\, living history\, and educational programs that bring history to life.\n\nAnd here is a secret: you don’t have to live in the Brazos Valley to give! Generosity has no geographical boundaries. Whether you live across town\, across Texas\, or across the country\, you can support the Museum of the American G.I. \nEarly Giving: September 21–October 19\nGiving Day: October 20 \n\nClick the button below to donate!\n \nOther Ways to Give \nIf you are age 70½ or older\, you may be eligible to make a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) directly from your IRA. Please consult your financial or tax advisor about eligibility and potential tax benefits. \nConsidering a significant gift? To avoid credit card processing fees\, you may give by check. Make your check payable to the Community Foundation of the Brazos Valley and write Museum of the American G.I. in the memo line. \nHelp us preserve the past\, honor those who served\, and inspire the generations who will carry their stories forward. \nPreserve • Honor • Educate
